New York loves Scissor Sisters so much that the audience didn’t get enough on the first night, so the Sisters flipped it over and grilled it up again! They played the second of two shows (the final US date on their 2012 Summer tour) at Terminal 5 in Manhattan on July 7, 2012. If you’ve never had the pleasure of seeing Scissor Sisters, their show, as Ana Matronic said “will fuck you – hard! But [you’ll] be respected in the morning.” Truer words have never been spoken. The Sisters give 150% at every show and whether you feel like dancin’ or not, you will be on your feet and shakin’ your moneymaker for the entire show. Die-hards including myself braved hours of 100 degree weather to be in the front row to catch Jake Shears, Ana Matronic, Del Marquis and Baby Daddy let us have it – in the best possible way and they did not disappoint! If you don’t have their latest album “Magic Hour,” get it get it and before you know it, you’ll be having a kiki!
Enjoy some pictures from a 3,000 person kiki featuring Scissor Sisters, DJ Sammy Jo (who spun tunes in between sets) and the fabulous opener, Rye Rye.
